The Derby will be ceasing operations on 1/31/09. Come join us for the last swing night at the Derby. The club was ground zero for the swing revival of the 1990's, and whether you started dancing then and there, or well afterwards, we all owe a debt to the scene that was created there, and that we are all now a part of.

If you've never been to the Derby, there is no better time. And if you have been, you should be part of this great send off.

We are planning to record the night's show, possibly to release as an album. We expect the night to be something to remember.

UPDATE:
- YES THE DERBY IS REALLY CLOSING THIS TIME. PEOPLE ARE LOOKING FOR NEW JOBS. THE LIQUOR STOCK IN THE BAR IS NOT BEING REPLENISHED. THE LANDLORD HAS DECLINED TO RENEW THE LEASE, AND THE NIGHTCLUB WILL CEASE OPERATIONS ON THE 31st. THERE IS NO REPRIEVE.
