LAS VEGAS — World Market Center will feature virtuoso swing band The Brian Setzer Orchestra for a free opening day concert at next month's Las Vegas Market.

The concert will take place at 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 14, with food and drinks served at the World Market Center's Grand Plaza between Buildings A, B and C.

Setzer, a three-time Grammy winner who was a frontman for the Stray Cats and later led the 18-piece Rockin' Big Band, earned acclaim for hits such as "Rock This Town," "Stray Cat Strut" and "Jump Jive an' Wail."

"The energy of The Brian Setzer Orchestra is fine-tuned to kick off the biggest event in home furnishings this year," said Bob Maricich, president and CEO of World Market Center, in a press release.

"Our inaugural September Las Vegas Market, with its tens of thousands of new product introductions, coupled with the launch of the first industry-wide National Home Furnishings event targeting consumers, is sure to offer a double dose of optimism for market attendees," Maricich said.
